Open Letter to the university ministry of auxiliary services parking division

[Editor's Note]: Frank is currently enrolled at a local public school.  The university has doubled in size in 10 years and has failed to foresee the parking nightmare that is-- A dictated rebuke of the anachronistic parking penalty fee schedule follows.  As usual any names may have been changed to protect local identities.

Dear sir or madam:

Cease immediately these shenanigans!

It has been rumored that the school is approaching tier 1 research status, please catch up with the new century, please.

I recently had the pleasure of being escorted off of Western Michigan University's gorgeous campus; and a reckless parking choice produced a citation for unpermitted parking in a 24-hr reserved dormitory lot.

Total Cost of Citation: $10.00--That's Right, 10 DOLLARS.

The students of WMU are far better served when able to spend their meager allowances on All Campus Services instead of playing musical parking lots, drive-'n'-hike, spot the fake permit, etc.

Please stop being greedy and let us go to school in peace.

We are here to LEARN, not to pay for parking every day.

tuition is expensive enough without the stress of Das Boot!
